Our History
Filesycamorepath Mining Review began in 2019 when three former datacenter technicians in Gwangju noticed a gap in the market. New ASIC models dominated industry coverage, yet a significant number of operators across Jeolla province were still running Antminer S9 fleets, Whatsminer M20S racks, and Avalon 1066 units — machines with hash rates above 0.05 TH/s that many had written off.
Rather than selling hardware or hosting capacity, we focused on measurement. Our first clients were small operators in the Gwangsan district who wanted independent verification that their tuned machines were actually saving power. Word spread through hosting communities in Naju and Mokpo, and by 2021 we had benchmarked over two hundred legacy units.
Today we maintain a reference database of performance data for fourteen older flagship models, updated quarterly as network difficulty shifts and firmware revisions appear.
Our Approach
We treat every assessment as a bench exercise, not a sales pitch. Our technicians have no affiliation with mining pool operators, hardware resellers, or hosting providers. Reports include both favorable findings and problems we identify — failing capacitors, inadequate cooling airflow, or settings that sacrifice too much hash rate for marginal power savings.
We work primarily in English and Korean, serving both domestic operators and international clients who maintain hardware in South Korean facilities.
The Team
Jae-won Park — Lead bench technician. Former Bitmain-certified repair specialist with eight years of hands-on ASIC experience. Handles voltage tuning and thermal diagnostics.
Hye-jin Choi — Performance analyst. Maintains our reference database and produces benchmark comparison reports. Background in electrical engineering from Chonnam National University.
Dong-min Lee — Client operations. Schedules on-site visits, manages remote VPN assessments, and coordinates with partner repair shops when we identify hardware failures during testing.

- Measurement over marketing. We publish hash-rate numbers from actual pool data, not manufacturer spec sheets.
- Conservative tuning. We recommend settings that survive summer ambient temperatures in unmodified shipping containers, not peak-efficiency profiles that throttle within hours.
- Transparency. Every report includes raw data tables, not just summary conclusions.
Community
We contribute field notes to our journal on tuning techniques specific to older hardware. Several Gwangju-area operators attend our quarterly open bench days, where we demonstrate tuning procedures on decommissioned units.
